Q. Are any of your events "all ages"?

A. No. ALL of our events are 21 and over.

Q. Is there a cover?

A. No. We DO NOT charge a cover. On a rare occasion we may have an event or benefit that will have a cover, but it will usually be charged for the back live-music room only. There's never a cover for the main bar area.

Q. My band would like to play Otto's. What do I need to do?

A. Send an e-mail to ottosinfo@gmail.com (please put a little description of your band/act and tell us where you're from — Although MySpace links are helpful we find that we simply don't have enough time to visit every MySpace page that we get), or call us at 212 228 2240. We also have promoters that book bands on certain nights and we will foward bands to them that we think will fit in with what they do.

Q. Does Otto's have events other than live bands?

A. Yes. We have had comedy shows, burlesque, variety shows, poetry readings, performance art, hip-hop showcases, open mike and movie nights. If you are interested in putting on a similar event send an e-mail to ottosinfo@gmail.com or call us at 212 228 2240.

Q. My band is playing at Otto's. What do we need to bring?

A. Otto's provides a backline for bands:

• Guitar amps:
  Peavey Classic 50 2x12 combo: 2 channel with distortion and reverb
  Marshall JCM 900 50 watt w/ 2x12 cabinet.
• Bass rig is an Ampeg SVT3PRO or Yorkville 400 watt head with 1x15 cabinet.
• Pearl drum kit (1 rack tom, 1 floor tom & Bass drum) with hardware (hi-hat stand, 3 cymbal stands and throne).
• 8 channel Mackie PA mixer with 3 microphones and stands

All you need to bring is a snare drum, cymbals, bass drum pedal and your instruments. DRUMMERS DON'T FORGET TO BRING A CLUTCH! Bands are welcome to bring their own gear; however, because we're not a venue in the traditional sense, there is limited space for gear. We liken it to playing a party as opposed to playing a "show". Q. I'd like to have a private party at Otto's. Is this possible?

A. Yes. e-mail us at ottosinfo@gmail.com for specific info. We offer many options as to rental rates, drink specials and open bar packages. We can also help in organizing music, bands, film/video etc.

Q. If I have a party at Otto's do you offer food?

A. No. We do not offer food; however you may bring your own food.
